Scott Bader Europe Increases Prices of Crystic® Gelcoats and Pigments

Effective from August 1st 2011, Scott Bader is increasing prices by 100€/te for its range of Crystic® gelcoats and pigments. These new prices will be applied to all invoiced orders by this date at the latest, subject to existing customer contracts. This is an additional increase to the last price rise announced and implemented in May of this year.

This further price rise from Scott Bader is in response to significant additional increases in the costs of key gelcoat and pigment related raw materials, especially titanium dioxide. Based on recent forecasts, Scott Bader is expecting raw material prices to remain at these high levels for the foreseeable future, due to ongoing global supply shortages and strong demand. They do not rule out the possibility of further prices increases being necessary if further upward movements in oil, energy and raw material prices occur.

Scott Bader continues to work very closely with its customers to reduce the overall impact of these necessary price increases for the long term sustainability of its business. It actively looks to help customers maximize product and process efficiencies through technically-led partnership projects.
