Accordingly, Scott Bader is committed to a long-term strategy of responsible energy management that will optimise energy efficiency throughout its business, helping to minimise both associated costs and our effects on the environment.
Energy management across Scott Bader sites includes:
- Reducing energy costs
- Increasing levels of energy efficiency
- Reducing CO2 emissions
- Signing up to a Climate Change Levy agreement that requires improvements in energy efficiency by 12.5% over a 12-year period from 1998 to 2010
- Energy action plans that help to ensure that energy usage is reduced
- Setting internal targets and objectives for improving and monitoring energy usage
- Including energy efficiency considerations in the purchase or use of new plant and equipment
Through the utilisation of a strategic energy management plan, renewed and updated annually, the company hopes to make significant improvements to the way in which energy is used at Scott Bader, minimising our contributions to air pollution and global warming.
