Key Activities: The development, manufacture, distribution and sales of synthetic resins and polymers for applications in marine, land transportation, building & construction, adhesives, surface coating and textile markets.  Our high quality products are sold globally under well established brand names such as Crystic®, Fireguard®, Crestomer®, Texipol®, Texigel®, Texicryl® and Polidene®.  

From our five manufacturing sites located in the UK, France, Croatia, The Middle East and South Africa, we make and distribute a wide range of composite and specialty chemical products such as:

• Unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats for making fibreglass constructions and parts.
• Structural adhesives and bonding pastes for fibreglass, wood and other products.
• Conventional and inverse water based polymers for coatings, adhesives inks and thickeners.
• Solvent based alkyd and acrylic resins for primers, topcoats and other industrial applications.

Innovation & Technology: Our headquarters is near Northampton, England, where we also have a purpose-built, state-of-the-art Research & Development Center, plus Technical support facilities that provide product evaluation, testing and application support to our customers.  We have a strong commitment to research and innovation.

Governance: We are a common trusteeship company. The shares are held by Scott Bader Commonwealth Limited, a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. Having no external shareholders, with a strong commitment to support our workforce, society and the environment. We are proud of the fact that we have been a socially responsible corporation long before the term was popularised, having been made a key part of our culture by the Companies' founder.

As we have no external shareholders we cannot be acquired, so we are more stable and can think more long term. That makes us a great company to do business with as either a customer or a supplier.
