The Charity fulfils its Objects by making grants to charitable organisations around the world whose purposes are to help young/disadvantaged people i.e. those who suffer deprivation and discrimination e.g. poor, homeless, vulnerable children, women and minority communities and people affected by poverty, hunger and disease.

To achieve the above we have a Global Charity Fund which is divided into two categories:

Local Funds

This fund is divided between the companies within the Scott Bader Group. The money available is dependent upon the number of people employed at each location.

Each company will decide on which charities to recommend for funding, in line with the above specified criteria and guidelines provided.

Each company will have the facility to make small donations from their allocation to support local fund rasing events.

Central Fund

This fund is used to support two large community based environmental/educational projects to the value of £25,000 each, located anywhere in the world.

We wish to support community based projects, so if you have an education/environmental project that benefits young/disadvantaged people or a community project that you would like us to consider, please read the information contained in the attached document.

The process for large project applications was as follows

· All applications for 2008 to be received by 28 March 2008
· April-May 2008 investigation and selection of final four
· July 2008 - Commonwealth Members to vote on their two preferred projects. Charities supported following the AGM held in July 2007 are shown attached. (AGM on 4.7.08)
· July 2008 – money will be issued.
