GLASSFIBRE
Glassfibre Chopped Strand Mats:
  • Emulsion Bounded EM 1002/100/125, 1002/150/125, 1002/225/125
  • Emulsion Bounded ACE 450-92, ACE 600-92

Emulsion Bound Mats EM 1002 with densities 100, 150 and 225 gr is manufactured of chopped strands 9m in diameter, drawn from E-Glass containing below 1% of alkali's. Recommended as external layer for improvement of surface aspect.

Chopped Strand Mats with densities from 300, 450, 600 and 900 gr. Fibre diameter is about 12m. Roll widths 90 or 125 cm
  • 1002/ACE = Emulsion Bounded
  • 1004 = Powder Bounded

SURFACE MATS

Acrylic Surface Mats
ACR-65 Non-woven fabric, 65 g/m2. Improves the aspect of the laminate when applied on direct contact with the mould or after a gelcoat. Has a high porosity and elongation, which improves the good air and resin flow.
    Roll length: 200 lm – width 130cm

Glassfibre Surface Mats
ACM1 30 gr/m2. The glass veil is composed of dry-laid randomly dispersed glassfibre strands bonded with resin. The material is designed to provide a gel-coat reinforcement and a smooth resin-rich surface to the composite.
Roll length: 250 lm – width 100 cm

NIDACORE Structural Honeycomb Material
- Balsa Core Materials
- Structiso/Structiform Cores for RTM, Infusion or other vacuum processes

Balsalite Core Materials
BalsaLite is select quality, kiln-dried, end-grain balsa wood suitable as a structural core material in composite sandwich construction.

BalsaLite is a naturally renewable resource.
BalsaLite is available as a surface primed version of BalsaLite, which improves installation quality, shortens application time and reduces resin absorption.

Balsalite by Nida-Core is available in a variety of forms chosen for specific applications or processes. :

1. R – is a rigid variety. It is not scored or scrimmed nor is it sealed. It is used predominantly in flat panel construction.

2. FPS – is a scrimmed and scored variety that is not seal coated to reduce resin consumption. It is used in applications where simple and compound curves may be encountered

3. S2S – is a scrimmed and scored variety that has been seal coated to reduce resin consumption and enhance bond.

4. IG – is an infusion grade of balsa that has been perforated and the
faces channelled for resin distribution.

Nidafusion STO and STF
The Sandwich with triangulated bonds
PRINCIPLE
A 3-dimensional fibreglass reinforced foam for fabrication of high-stiffness low-density structures either flat or highly shaped.

APPLICATIONS
Automotive, Insulated doors, Shipbuilding, Railway Industry, Industrial

ADVANTAGES
Excellent Flexural Rigidity. Not sensitive to loss of strength at elevated temperature as opposed to PP Honeycomb or PVC Foam
Exceptionally resistance to de-amination, providing superior damage tolerance andfatique resistance.

CONFIGURATION
Sandwich constructions are made of:
-Closed Foam Cores
-Fiberglass Reinforcement on each side of the foam
-Fiberglass Roving going through the 3 above elements and forming triangulated bond

FABRICATION
Low Pressure Press, RTM Process, Infusion, Any Vacuum Process
Nidafusion STO: Sheets of 2,5 x 1,25 m with polyurethan 35 kg/m3
Nidafusion STF: Sheets of 2,75 x 1,20 m with polyethylene 35 kg/m3
