Crestomer Adhesives
Crystic Crestomer structural adhesives were formulated specifically for the FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastics) industry. They are based on Scott Bader's innovative urethane acrylate technology and they exhibit exceptional impact strength, flexibility and toughness. Crystic Crestomer adhesives are available with a range of curing schedules to suit a variety of applications. Crystic Crestomer adhesives have the proven ability to work effectively for a range of bond thicknesses, from thin bond-lines of 1mm, to gap-fill bond-lines of 25mm.
So whether using Crestomer Advantage for bonding small fixings, or using Crystic Crestomer 1181A for bonding hulls to decks, the Crystic Crestomer range has products to meet a wide range of bonding needs.
In addition to bonding GRP parts together, Crestomer can also be used to bond GRP to metal or wood. It has the added benefit of providing both jointing and sealing in one operation.
A Record of Achievement
The Crystic Crestomer pedigree was established over 25 years ago. The first commercial application for Crystic Crestomer adhesive was in the manufacture of minehunters. The unique properties of Crystic Crestomer ensured peel and crack resistance was significantly improved.
