Texipols are specialised inverse emulsions used as thickeners. Scott Baders manufacturing and technical capability has enabled the manufacture of polymers with optimum performance characteristics and ease of transport, handling, storage and use benefits. They have a low viscosity enabling them to be pumped and metered easily.
In general most Texipols are supplied in a pre-neutralised form which means that there is no requirement for additional alkali or surfactant addition to effect thickening. In most applications, Texipol can be added at any stage of formulating, including post thickening of systems, thus allowing greater flexibility when formulating.
