Exhibiting in a more sustainable way

As you may already know, at Scott Bader we have a long term vision of becoming a fully sustainable company by 2036. As detailed in our 2036 vision and goals.

As a marketing team we are always looking to identity ways in which we can operate more efficiently and with less environmental impact. We identified exhibitions as an area we could improve in.

So at this years JEC World and European Coatings Show, where we had 88sqm and 40sqm stands, both stands were made from 95% recyclable materials. All paper, aluminium and cardboard used in production was recycled. Any off cuts of material from producing our stands were put into a biomass boiler which heats the offices of our stand builders. And we will also be using elements of the stands at other exhibitions during the next two years.

As well as the stand materials, we included a touch screen on both stands so visitors could view brochures and email them to themselves. This reduced our need for printed brochures by half when compared to previous years!

We also looked at what we were offering on the stands and we decided to swap plastic coffee cups for fully biodegradable paper cups.

Whilst there is still more work to be done, we are happy to have reduced over environmental impact from exhibiting in 2019!

Our 2036 vision logo consisting of multi-coloured numbers and the use of the planet Earth as a zero.
