The part you see on our stand is a wooden bulkhead placed on an infused base, over laminated on both sides with Crestapol 1240.

Other than a quick clean, there was no surface prep conducted to the bulkhead.

The base is an infused polyester laminate, using Crystic 703PA DCPD infusion resin.

You will notice one side is white, this is an example topcoat for an aesthetic finish.

What if Crestapol 1240 wasn’t used?

If we didn’t use Crestapol 1240 and instead used another resin then the base would not have adhered, therefore we would have to abrade the surface area for a regular over laminating resin to adhere.
