Our plans for energy Our plans for energy

Scott Bader consumes significant amounts of energy in its activities, using gas, liquid fuels and electricity to power and heat its processes.

We recognise that the production of electricity can generate significant CO2 emissions as can the burning of fossil fuels, and therefore we are seeking to reduce our CO2 emissions through switching to renewable energy sourced electricity and investigating potential on-site electricity and heat generation. We have now switched the electricity used at our UK and Croatian sites to 100% renewable generated electricity and will seek to do the same on our other production sites as soon as we can.

We are also seeking to reduce the impact of our business travel by careful measurement of our impact, increased use of virtual conferencing, challenge and minimisation of our air and road travel, and by adjusting our car policy towards hybrid or electric vehicles as current vehicles are replaced.
