In order to set the pace of truly sustainable progress, we must invest in real, long-lasting change within Scott Bader's own operations. This is our commitment to making a positive difference in what we make, how we make it and who we partner with along the way.

So, what are we doing?

Green energy

Green energy usage at all manufacturing sites, and aiming for the same at all of our locations to have 100% renewable energy usage across the Scott Bader Group.

Local energy

We aim to make use of local renewable energy projects and onsite generation whenever possible.

Modernising equipment

Upgrading machinery and retrofitting older systems with low-carbon alternatives for efficiency improvements and reductions in waste.

Process heating

Exploring cutting-edge solutions like electrification and green hydrogen.

Recovery systems

Our site modernisation plans include reviewing our systems for potential recovery of energy, including heat and steam.

Improved monitoring

Installing advanced systems to track emissions in real time so we can act faster, smarter and more effectively.

Waste management

Driving towards zero to landfill at our manufacturing sites where possible, and ensuring we make use of recycling or renewable waste solutions.

To help us set the pace of truly sustainable progress, we are partnering with external specialists to improve our energy management and the modernisation of our sites around the world.

Schneider Electric

We have partnered with Schneider for the procurement and management of green energy across our European sites. Our continued partnership is allowing us to achieve our green energy ambitions more efficiently, alongside a cohesive approach across the Scott Bader Group on how we procure green energy and meet local energy requirements for each of our sites.

This partnership will help drive some of the key aspects of our goals moving forward by leveraging Schneider’s market leading position on energy.

Ecohz

Our partner for renewable energy certificates and help on management of emissions across the group. They help us track, prove, and utilise green energy globally, not just reducing our emissions, but that of our products too.
