Scott Bader France support Gold in September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, symbolised by a golden ribbon. It’s an annual international awareness month to raise support, funding and awareness of childhood cancers and the impact for sufferers and families. It was founded in 2010 by former US President Barack Obama and is mainly run in the form of events by cancer charities.

During September, colleagues from Scott Bader France, based in Amiens, participated in a duck race on the river Somme, volunteered at a local clinic to entertain children suffering with cancer and joined the Amiens University Hospital to put on a show and raise awareness of the Gold in September appeal. Colleagues in Amiens also purchased golden ribbons to support the appeal.

With the addition of a contribution from the Scott Bader Commonwealth recognising the fantastic efforts of all involved, the total raised is just below 1000 euros!

The actions of our French colleagues throughout September are a brilliant example of Scott Bader values in action, instilled by our founder Ernest Bader, to make a positive difference to our local communities. Well done to all involved!
