Customer seminars in Spain prove a sustainable way of doing business

An essential part of our business practice is meeting customers face-to-face to provide them with the latest product information. In a bid to reduce our carbon footprint whilst still meeting our valued customers face-to-face, our distributors in Spain; Hegardt, Resinas Castro and Comsa, have hosted three customer training seminars that have attracted over 50 customers.

Neil Gray, Global Market Manager FST, explains:

“Scott Bader is very excited about the positive feedback and impact of the customer training seminars which we’ve been running at our Spanish distributors. These events have a significant positive environmental impact allowing us to interact with several customers at once and reduce the number of flights from the UK the FST and Adhesives teams need to take.”

Distributors invited customers within their region and local to the events organised removing the need to travel any significant distance.  Of the three seminars, two were focused on our Crestafire® FST products and one on our adhesives range.  Scott Bader colleagues from the UK and Spain attended to share their expertise, undertake practical demonstrations and answer customer questions.

Neil continues; “These seminars allow us to accelerate the depth and breadth of the market penetration of new product launches whilst giving customers the opportunity to network and learn from each other and our distributors.”

The first seminar sponsored by Hegardt was an FST event aimed at the rail market.   Together with Saertex, our FST partner for the rail industry, there was a presentation and product demonstration.

The second event was sponsored by Resinas Castro focussed on our adhesives ranges; Crestabond®, Crestafix® & Crestomer®.

The third and final event sponsored by Comsa was a Crestafire® FST event that was again supported by Saertex as it was aimed at the Rail and Building & Construction markets.

General Manager for Scott Bader Spain, Rosa Seijo, adds:

“I am really delighted to be working in partnership with our distributors to provide these informative seminars and ensuring their delivery in a professional and structured manner for our customers.  The environmental benefits aligning to our sustainability vision is a great added bonus!”

Based on the very positive feedback we have received from attendees, we believe that this really is the way forward for doing business in a more sustainable way, and we plan to roll out this approach across Europe for new product launches.
