Crestapol® 1260 Urethane Acrylate Resin
Crestapol 1260 is a urethane acrylate resin with low viscosity, suitable for infusion and resin transfer moulding (RTM) at vacuum levels down to -1.0 Bar. This resin is compatible with carbon fibre reinforcement materials and sizing agents, has high-temperature performance, high strength and toughness, and exceptional water and hydrolysis resistance.
Once allowed to attain workshop temperature, Crestapol 1260 requires the addition of a catalyst and accelerator to begin the curing process. It has a standard gel time of 30 minutes, and offers excellent mechanical performance after post-curing at a moderate temperature, although for optimum performance higher temperatures should be used.
Laminates produced with Crestapol 1260 have high gloss retention and good weather resistance, making them ideal for tough external applications. Once cured they have a tensile strength of 76 MPa.
Crestapol 1260 is supplied in 25kg, 200kg and 1000kg pack sizes, which should be stored at 25°C and in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
