Crestapol® 1218 Urethane Acrylate Resin

Crestapol 1218 is formulated for use in RTM applications as well as with other closed moulding techniques including resin infusion process. It is a non-thixotropic, low viscosity, urethane acrylate resin with a rapid cure, helping you to achieve fast cycle times and high production rates without compromising on quality.

This versatile resin has good mechanical properties such as excellent toughness, while its low viscosity helps to promote a good resin flow and minimise filler sediment during storage. Thanks to the incorporation of a special grade of calcium carbonate, it has improved shrinkage control and surface finish, making it ideal for both functional and aesthetic needs.

As a pre-filled and partially-accelerated resin, Crestapol 1218 requires only the addition of a catalyst and one accelerator for the curing process to begin. It should attain workshop temperature (18°C-20°C) before curing, and doesn’t require a post-cure for optimum results. Pot life will vary depending on the ratio of catalyst and accelerator used.

Crestapol 1218 is supplied by Scott Bader in 25kg, 200kg and 1 tonne containers which should be stored in the dark and in a horizontal position. Contact us today to discuss your requirements with our technical team, or speak to your local distributor to place an order.
